Midatech Laboratory Build Case Study
Midatech, now Biodex Pharmaceuticals, is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company developing a pipeline of products aimed at primary and metastatic cancers of the brain. The Company’s lead candidate, MTX110, is being studied in aggressive rare/orphan brain cancer indications including recurrent glioblastoma, medulloblastoma and paediatric diffuse midline glioma.
Our team successfully transformed a 1980’s building into a high-tech laboratory spanning two floors. The project involved converting an existing office space into CL2 laboratories (level 2 containment). Our work encompassed installing new flooring, ceilings, and incorporating essential components like fume cupboards and advanced water systems. This meticulous renovation has resulted in a modern, functional laboratory facility, meeting all required specifications.
